Sometimes I miss being primarily a digital artist, but making sculptures and now felted animals is too much fun. There seems to be more reward because my art is physical, you can touch it, pick it up, turn it around... it's just not the same as a digital picture where it could be lost forever with a wipe of a hard-drive.
I've recently sold my first item on Etsy and I'm very excited. Revenue means I get to buy more supplies (which I'm slowly running out of) and it also means that I just might have a chance in this industry. I'm currently out of work (technically I work at Petsmart, but I don't get many hours) as there's no graphic/film jobs around here so I've been attempting to freelance. It's gone somewhat well, I have a few possible commissions and I worked on a documentary in the past.
Here's to hope for this season.
